Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac and Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Avera. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality cardiac and peripheral vascular ultrasound scans as directed by physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Perform cardiac and peripheral vascular ultrasound scans to diagnose and monitor various conditions.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of cardiac and vascular pathology, as well as relevant medical terminology.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in ultrasound technology and techniques.
Requirements
  • Associate of Science degree in cardiovascular ultrasound technology or a certificate of successful completion from a school of cardiac ultrasound.
  • 2-3 years of previous ultrasound experience, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Registration in at least one modality, Cardiac or Vascular Technologist, with the ability to take call independently.
  • Maintain required CMEs and adhere to Avera's policies and procedures.
