Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center. As a key member of our imaging services team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations
  • Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images
  • Use independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings
  • Coordinate work schedule with scheduling desk to assure workload coverage
  • Maintain a daily log of patients seen, complete exam verification for billing purposes, and perform related clerical duties as required
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and work area, and maintain adequate supplies, and monitors outdates
  • Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information and medical history, and discuss findings with the radiologists
  • Participate in instruction of student technologists, and provides general education to hospital staff in ultrasound procedures
Requirements
  • Must be RDMS eligible
  • Must pass general sonography boards (Abdomen or OB) within 1 year in this position
  • Must pass vascular boards within 1 year in this position
  • Prefer prior sonographer experience
