Job Title: Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator

Job Summary:

Duke University is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing clinical research studies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage clinical research studies, including screening, scheduling, and consenting participants.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including subject level documentation and regulatory binders.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including adverse event reports and study closeout reports.
  • Collaborate with investigators, research staff, and other stakeholders to ensure study success.
  • Provide education and training to research staff on clinical research procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) regulations.
  • Participate in study initiation, monitoring, and closeout visits.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with study sponsors, investigators, and research staff.
  • Stay up-to-date with new developments and advancements in clinical research.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
  • Current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
  • 12 months of appropriate clinical nursing experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in clinical research coordination or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) regulations.
  • Experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems and clinical trial management software.
