Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and assess complex DER distribution system interconnections at numerous voltage levels, documenting and communicating results and recommendations as appropriate.
  • Develop distribution system power flow models for studying the interconnection of generation and storage using CYME Software, adhering to Avangrid's Distribution Planning Guides.
  • Work independently in performing analysis, reviewing the planning and other engineering work of peer engineers and consultants.
  • Provide guidance to team members on distribution planning-related issues and analysis.
  • Develop and apply a thorough understanding of various planning criteria, guidelines, standards, and analysis software packages.
  • Develop a thorough understanding and application of distribution planning tools used in day-to-day operations.
  • Continually strive to innovate and integrate improvements to increase the precision and efficiency of distribution planning.
  • Strive to seek out and develop subject matter expert skills to mentor and support the team in advancing business needs.
Additional Responsibilities

Requirements
  • BSEE Degree.

  • Some knowledge of leading and mentoring a team of engineers.
