Project Controls Specialist

Job Description and Responsibilities:



  • Project Controls Lead: Responsible for progress reporting, cost control analysis, project cost forecasting, cost, and cash flow development, change management, and contingency management.
  • Field Operations Lead: Lead, mentor, and develop Field Engineers.
  • Collaboration and Training: Participate in new job setup, oversee progress reporting, and train and develop Field Engineers and Project Administrators in Primoris processes and job functions.
  • Coordination and Execution: Track project progress and financial status, analyze costs, efficiency, and production, and support Project Manager and Site Manager with change orders, project budgets, and cost forecasts.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Coordinate project update meetings with clients and internal stakeholders, maintain good working relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and co-workers, and ensure final inventory and jobsite closeout activities are completed accurately and on time.

Requirements and Preferences:



  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred Skills and Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, e-mail) and Visio, effective communication (oral, written, presentation), motivation, and supervisory skills, ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks, and ability to give presentations to groups of up to 10 people.

Benefits and Pay:


Salary $95,000- $105,000 annually, dependent on experience, qualifications, and competencies, paid company holidays, paid time off, paid sick leave, medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, short term/long term disability, and 401K with matching contribution.
