Front Service Associate Job Description

**Job Summary**

The Front Service Associate assists management in providing exceptional customer service, resets tables efficiently, and interacts with customers, team members, and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Anticipate and accommodate customer needs
  • Maintain table cleanliness and orderliness
  • Communicate customer needs to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House support staff
  • Deliver, fill, and refill water as requested by customers and/or directed by servers
  • Clear and reset tables, and clean table area, including banquettes, during service
  • Help ensure customer satisfaction through active participation in service
  • Maintain general cleanliness of stations and the entire venue
  • Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, including setting up floor and side stations, performing side-work, and stocking side-stations with prescribed supplies
  • Participate in marking tables for upcoming courses (apps, entrees, desserts)
  • Report breakage and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management
  • Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings and training sessions

Requirements:

  • Crane Club in-venue front service training

Skills and Physical Demands:

  • Ability to write and verbally communicate
  • Good positive energy throughout the day
  • Ability to print legibly for team members, management, and customers
  • Ability to kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to move quickly
  • Ability to push and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke
  • May work extended hours, irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work may be required
  • Exposure to cleaning materials
  • Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials
