Veterinary Receptionist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at Waunakee Veterinary Clinic. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient flow, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities- Greets clients and pets, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere
- Answers phone calls, responds to emails, and resolves client inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Schedules appointments, surgeries, and procedures, ensuring efficient use of time and resources
- Manages patient records, including medical history, vaccination records, and treatment plans
- Processes payments, handles billing, and maintains accurate financial records
- Assists veterinarians and veterinary technicians with daily tasks, such as preparing exam rooms and handling medical supplies
- Provides education and support to clients on animal care, nutrition, and health
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and practice management software
