Job Summary:

The Senior Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational components of a standalone large office location, providing mentorship and consultation to smaller multi-site locations, and serving as the administrator for a multi-specialty office building. This role requires highly advanced administrative skills and proficiency with minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the overall operation of a single large practice, smaller multi-site locations, or a multi-specialty medical building.
  • Implement procedures for enhancing levels of service and quality, and enforce medical office policies and procedures.
  • Develop guidelines for prioritizing and assigning work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying processes as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain an efficient and responsive patient flow system.
  • Schedule and facilitate regular office meetings with providers and office staff.
  • Ensure proper registration and insurance pre-verification management processes are followed.
  • Prepare weekly schedules for staff, ensuring proper staffing to support daily office operations.
  • Support and uphold policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control, and codes and requirements of accreditation and financial performance.
  • Oversee maintenance of patient records, including storage and transfer.
  • Establish performance improvement goals for the office, remaining in alignment with department goals and objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with providers to build templates in alignment with department expectations and manage ongoing schedule changes.
  • Assist with practice acquisitions and new build facility/operations set-up.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams in the department that assess quality improvement and/or process efficiency/workflow projects.


Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree, preferably with coursework in business administration or healthcare administration required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of administrative experience with 2 years of management experience in healthcare required.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) skills with expert proficiency in all aspects, including Master Scheduling and Billing knowledge.
  • Advanced knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies required.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Outlook email skills required.
  • Intermediate electronic filing skills required.
  • Advanced typing skills required.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
