Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Advancement Data and Analytics to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategy and daily management of the Advancement Data and Analytics department and team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advancement Data Acquisition and Data Quality
    • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for data collection, organization, interpretation, and classification.
    • Develop data quality metrics and ensure metrics are documented and tracked.
    • Develop specifications for data capture and input; monitor input to ensure consistency, quality, and integrity of data.
    • Address inquiries, problems, or complaints regarding data availability or quality.
  • Advancement Data Access and System Reporting
    • Direct changes in priorities and schedules as needed to ensure work is performed in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Advise division staff and other university partners regarding data policies and reports.
    • Collaborate with University Information Systems staff to ensure appropriate information is shared among University administrative systems.
  • Business Intelligence Toolsets
    • Lead projects that involve the identification, selection, and implementation of business intelligence databases and toolsets.
    • Align business intelligence technologies with strategic initiatives, ensuring best practices, tools, frameworks, and mechanisms for data collection and analytics.
    • Lead planning, designing, and execution of testing efforts, analyzing test results to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Requirements
  • BA/BS with 5-7 years progressive experience in not-for-profit development/advancement; college or university setting preferred.
  • At least 2 years of direct supervision and/or management experience required.
  • Demonstrated successful experience working collegially across departments and operational divisions in a higher education setting is preferred.
