University of Miami is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Stepdown Level II to join our team in Miami, Florida.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in our Cardiac Stepdown unit. As a Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Stepdown Level II, you will be responsible for delivering patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service.
Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patients' conditions, developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred.
- Valid Florida Registered Nurse License, ACLS, BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, with a strong background in Cardiac Stepdown care.
