Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As a Clinical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing phlebotomy and other collection procedures, processing patient specimens, and performing quality control. Key Responsibilities
  • Performs phlebotomy and other collection procedures according to established procedures.
  • Processes requisitions and enters test orders into the computer system.
  • Receives, processes, and stores specimens as appropriate.
  • Performs waived and moderate complexity testing where there is documentation of successful completion of training and competency.
  • Orders and maintains supplies and inventory.
  • Assists clinical floor staff with stocking supplies, cleaning, patient transport, and other tasks as necessary.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • HS/GED plus Nine months of phlebotomy experience.
  • Preference of PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
