Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at 1872 Consulting. As a key member of our industrial and power systems team, you will be responsible for designing and managing complex electrical systems for industrial and power/process projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage complex electrical systems for industrial and power/process projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize electrical system modeling software such as SKM or ETAP for system analysis and design.
  • Lead Balance of Plant (BoP) process electrical design, integrating electrical systems with chilled water, compressed air, and steam/hot water systems.
  • Manage multiple projects, working with internal MEP/FP teams to meet client objectives and project deadlines.
  • Participate in business development efforts, including identifying prospective clients and contributing to proposal development.
  • Communicate effectively with architects, owners, and contractors, ensuring client satisfaction and project success.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience with complex building electrical systems, particularly in the industrial and power/process sector.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.), with a Tennessee P.E. license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Proficiency in Revit is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Willingness to travel (10%).
