The selected candidate will be tasked with the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of Oracle Applications and Databases. Expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and proficiency in Oracle Database technologies are essential for this position. As an Oracle Apps DBA, you will work collaboratively with developers, system administrators, and other IT professionals to ensure optimal performance and reliability of our Oracle Applications environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and upgrades of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Databases.
- Execute patching, cloning, and migration processes for Oracle Applications and Databases.
- Monitor system performance and resolve issues related to Oracle Applications and Databases.
- Establish and maintain backup and recovery protocols for Oracle Applications and Databases.
- Ensure the security and integrity of data within the Oracle environment.
- Provide technical support and direction to developers, system administrators, and other IT personnel.
- Implement and uphold best practices for the administration of Oracle Applications and Databases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Stay informed about Oracle technologies and suggest enhancements to the Oracle environment.
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting methods related to Oracle Applications and Databases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience as an Oracle Apps DBA or Oracle Database Administrator.
- Hands-on experience with the installation, configuration, and administration of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
- Proficiency in Oracle Application Administration technologies, including Oracle versions R and above.
- Skills in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle EBS 12.2, Git, and Oracle Database 19C.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Applications and its various components.
- Experience with Oracle EBS modules such as Financials, Supply Chain, HRMS, etc.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Oracle certifications, such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), are advantageous.
- Frequent communication, attention to detail, and repetitive tasks are part of the role.
