Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transportation Project Manager to join our team at Olsson, a leading engineering consulting firm.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation engineering and project management, with a passion for positively impacting communities through innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead transportation projects from evaluation to construction, ensuring successful execution and high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project team members to refine project scope and schedules, driving project success.
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including specifications, manuals, and permits, to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Serve as the resident project representative, ensuring client satisfaction and high-quality outcomes.
  • Review shop drawings, assess alternative designs, and communicate requirements to contractors and clients, fostering strong relationships.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff, contributing to their growth and development, while delivering exceptional results.
  • Engage in continuous learning, seeking guidance on complex projects for professional growth, and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Play a vital role in marketing and business development, including proposal writing and client engagement, to drive business growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, with a focus on transportation or a related field.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with a minimum of six years of full-time engineering experience, preferably in transportation engineering.
  • Proven experience and proficiency with Open Roads Designer software, and solid understanding of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and codes.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
