Position Overview:
TLC Nursing is actively seeking a skilled travel nurse for the role of Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Long Term Care. This travel nursing position involves providing essential nursing services in various healthcare settings.

Job Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
  • Delivering proficient nursing care to clients in accordance with established treatment plans.
  • Conducting ongoing assessments of patients and their families to monitor health status.
  • Communicating any changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
  • Implementing preventive and therapeutic nursing interventions as required.
  • Educating patients and families on safety practices, medication management, and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Administering prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the attending physician.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Possession of a valid nursing license from the State Board of Nursing.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care environment.
  • Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
  • Demonstrated maturity and responsibility in professional conduct.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of disease processes and emergency interventions.
  • Strong observational skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Good physical and mental health.
  • Completion of the agency's employment process and orientation.

Performance Expectations:
The performance of the nurse will be evaluated based on:
  • Ability to provide nursing care in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Capability to develop and implement realistic care plans.
  • Ongoing assessment of patients' physical, emotional, and social conditions.
  • Effective communication with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Accurate documentation of nursing notes and reports in accordance with agency standards.
