Position Overview:

The role involves managing Hadoop HDFS with a strong emphasis on Java development experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer Hadoop clusters, including adding and removing nodes, monitoring critical components, and ensuring high availability of the name node.
  • Deploy and configure Hadoop clusters, manage job scheduling, and perform regular backups.
  • Install and manage various distributions of Hadoop, including Hortonworks and Cloudera.
  • Utilize and troubleshoot open-source technologies effectively.
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to enhance system performance.
  • Evaluate existing database infrastructure and identify opportunities for improvement.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target across all U.S. locations. Individual compensation is determined based on work location, job level, and other relevant factors, including skills and experience.
