About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at Gorman & Company, Inc.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient delivery of construction projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. With your expertise in project management, estimation, specification review, value engineering, job commissioning, project planning, and financial management, we rely on your exceptional organizational skills to ensure seamless execution from conception to data delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Estimation: Conceptual and final estimations to ensure accurate project budgeting.
  • Specification and Constructability Review: In-depth analysis of project specifications to guarantee compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Value Engineering: Identification and implementation of cost-saving measures without compromising project objectives.
  • Job Commissioning: Ensuring timely and successful project launch, including setup and coordination with external suppliers.
  • Project Planning: Developing comprehensive project schedules and timelines to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Financial Management: Overseeing project finances, including regular re-forecasting and variance analysis to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Liaison with Owners, Partners, and Government Entities: Effective communication and collaboration with key stakeholders to address concerns, resolve issues, and ensure smooth project progression.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of a four-year degree program in construction management or construction science (preferably).
  • Experience: 7-10 years of construction experience, preferably in large multi-family and/or development projects.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Additional Qualifications: Experience with Section 3 compliance, WHEDA, and/or other government funding sources; proficiency in field work management and job monitoring.
