Metallurgical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgist to join our team at Professional Recruiters. As a Metallurgical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of metallurgical processes, including flotation, leaching, solvent extraction, and electrowinning.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of metallurgical principles and processes, particularly related to copper extraction and refining. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze test results and data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with senior metallurgical staff and operations teams to identify and implement process optimization initiatives.
• Participate in troubleshooting efforts to address process issues, equipment malfunctions, and other challenges that arise during production.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining product quality standards throughout the production process.
• Ensure that metallurgical processes comply with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety protocols.

Requirements:

• 0-3 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical, Chemical or Mineral Processing Engineering.

Preferred qualifications include understanding of computer science, programming, and/or computer experience, as well as Distributed Control System knowledge. Project experience or project training is also a plus.
