Overview

Mercy is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, assessing and evaluating patients' physical and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working with patients and their families to achieve optimal health outcomes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical knowledge and skills, participating in ongoing education and training to enhance patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
  • Current RN licensure in the state of hire, with compact licensure a plus
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association, with additional certifications as required by the department
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care
