About the Role

The Market Executive Director is a highly senior executive leader responsible for driving sales resource planning, revenue opportunities, and retention strategies within a specified market of the firm. Collaborating with operating company President, Sales Leader, Practice Leaders, and Division Directors, the successful candidate will develop marketing and sales plans articulated in an annually updated Market Growth Plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to retain clients through brokerage, risk advisory, and risk consulting services.
  • Develop and maintain carrier and vendor relationships to drive business growth.
  • Recruit, train, and develop market talent leveraging the L&D leader, talent acquisition partner, and SMEs across the company.
  • Generate thought leadership content and represent the market publicly to establish credibility and expertise.
  • Formulate and execute a market business plan to achieve target goals.
  • Collaborate with the M&A team on tuck-in acquisitions to expand market presence.
  • Achieve a target of 10% year-over-year organic growth for the market.

Expected Outcomes

  • Consistent personal new business activity.
  • Collaboration with Growth Leaders on new business meetings, meeting prep, and RFP responses to drive prospective sales to conclusion.
  • Development of sales collateral and campaign materials in collaboration with Marketing and Communications.
  • Recruitment, training, and mentoring of market-focused sales staff as per the annual business plan.
  • Action plans to enhance performance and productivity of underperforming sales personnel.
