Role SummaryIn this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our daily accounting functions. This position offers opportunities for growth and additional responsibilities as you gain experience and training. The ideal candidate will possess a strong grasp of generally accepted accounting principles and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct account reconciliations and manage month-end closing processes.
- Prepare general ledger entries and financial reports.
- Collaborate with management on year-end audit requirements.
- Assist in inventory management and purchasing activities.
- Handle sales tax reporting and compliance.
- Analyze financial statements and provide insights.
- Review and report on expense reports.
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Engage in various accounting projects as needed.
Required:
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Meticulous attention to detail and thorough task execution.
- Ability to work effectively in both independent and team settings.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
Preferred:
- Experience with sales tax regulations.
- Background in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with lean methodologies and practices.
- Experience using an ERP system.
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration abilities.
- Critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work autonomously.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain a positive demeanor in challenging situations.
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
