We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Heavy Duty Equipment Lead.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of skilled mechanics in a fast-paced heavy duty equipment shop, providing guidance and training to ensure timely and quality job completion.
  • Work closely with mechanics to identify and resolve equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the parts department to procure necessary parts and materials, streamlining the repair process.
  • Oversee the work of mechanics to deliver exceptional customer service and satisfaction, ensuring customer needs are met and exceeded.
  • Enforce strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and damage to equipment, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Direct and assist shop activities, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing options and recommendations to inform their decision-making process.
  • Perform tasks with precision, speed, and accuracy, adhering to company policies, DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of practical work experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, with a proven track record in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of trailer and tractor safety, as well as mechanical aptitude.
  • Professional, motivated, and results-driven attitude, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Adherence to company policies, including safety protocols.
  • Pass a standard pre-employment drug test.
