Dietary Supervisor Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Dietary Supervisor to join our team at Water's Edge at Port Jefferson for Rehabilitation & Nursing. As a Dietary Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and training staff, assisting with the operations of the Food Service Department, and ensuring the highest quality of care for our geriatric residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train staff to ensure excellent customer service and quality of care
  • Assist with the planning, development, and implementation of the Food Service Department's programs and activities
  • Inspect food storage rooms and utility/janitorial closets to ensure upkeep and supply control
  • Assist with maintaining an accurate inventory of food and non-food supplies
  • Assist with food purchasing and receiving, including monitoring expenditures and cost controls
  • Develop methods for determining quality and quantity of food

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • High school degree
  • Strong references
  • Experience in a healthcare setting a plus
  • Able to work week days and weekends
