About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Vulnerability Researcher to join our team at Nightwing. As a key member of our Cybersecurity, Intelligence and Services (CIS) business, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis of software vulnerabilities, developing CNO/CNE tools, and collaborating with our team to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct vulnerability research and analysis of software systems, identifying potential weaknesses and developing strategies to mitigate them
  • Develop and maintain CNO/CNE tools, ensuring they are effective and efficient in detecting and exploiting vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate with our team to deliver high-quality results, working closely with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of cybersecurity, attending training and staying current with industry trends and best practices

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in vulnerability research and analysis, with a strong understanding of software systems and their vulnerabilities
  • Experience with debugging tools, such as WinDbg, gdb, lldb, and OllyDbg
  • Strong programming skills in C, with experience developing CNO/CNE tools
  • Experience with source management tools, such as GIT, and team coordination tools, like the Atlassian suite
  • Knowledge of assembly language, including x86/64, ARM, PPC, and MIPS

Desired Skills

  • C++/Python programming skills
  • Experience with embedded systems, including UART, boot-up sequences, and updating devices
  • Understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP stacks, wire-level protocols, and RF communications
  • Knowledge of typical embedded systems, including UART, boot-up sequences, and updating devices
  • Embedded system development and/or hardware debugging using JTAG/gdb
  • Hardware/full system emulation
  • Hardware/firmware/communications reverse engineering
  • Linux or other OS reversing

Education and Clearance

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Active or ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
