Job Summary

Nakupuna Solutions is seeking a skilled Network/Communications Engineer to support military customers in Beaufort, South Carolina and Parris Island, South Carolina with additional travel locations within the United States.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and configuring networking hardware and software to provide creative, innovative, and thoughtful technical solutions for Nakupuna Solutions client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support verification site surveys at government installations within the United States to identify and document the current network infrastructure installed to ensure the technical solution meets the customer requirement
  • Support the Senior Network/Communications Engineers in implementing the technical solutions for new and existing clients
  • Provide feedback to the Senior Network/Communications Engineers on improvements to the technical solutions being implemented
  • Maintain accurate network diagrams, inventory and documentation for network infrastructure installations
  • Configuration of network routing and switching equipment
  • Understanding of networking technologies, topologies, and protocols (TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, Ethernet)
  • Hands-on experience in implementing, operating and troubleshooting IP-based Data networks (LAN/WAN/MAN) using Cisco IOS
  • Highly self-motivated and ability to work independently in a global team environment
  • Exceptional analytical skills, able to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions
  • Strong desire to learn and contribute solutions and ideas to a broad team
  • Independent and comfortable in a fast paced, ambiguous and often multi-directional work environments

Qualifications

  • Self-Motivated and Self-Monitoring, Exceptional Oral and Written Communications, Technical Communication, Problem Solving, Multi-tasking
  • Proficient with MS Office 365, MS Project at a minimum
  • Must hold a valid driver's license
  • Bachelor degree in a Technology related field
  • Minimum 3 years experience in telecommunications and networking experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience delivering solutions to government clients
  • Cisco CCNA, CCNP Certification is desired

Clearance Requirements

This position requires an active Secret Security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Location

Must be willing to travel and work in any government installation in the United States. Travel may be 20% or more.
