Essential Access Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented accounting intern to support our finance team.
We are a statewide organization that champions and promotes quality sexual and reproductive health care for all. Our mission is achieved through various programs and services, including clinic support initiatives, provider training, advanced clinical research, advocacy, and consumer awareness.
The Junior Staff Accountant Intern will assist in preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. Additional tasks may be assigned based on the intern's interests and skills.
This part-time internship will span 8 months and offer a hybrid work arrangement with the option to work from our Los Angeles office in Koreatown two days per week. Compensation for this internship is $20/hour.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with general accounting tasks
- Accounts payable and accounts receivables
- Journal entries and other duties as assigned
- Advanced accounting, writing, and communication skills
- Enrolled in an undergraduate program at a community college or university
- Commitment to equity and justice in healthcare
- Experience in accounting or business preferred
