The RN Resident position at Belton Regional Medical Center offers a comprehensive clinical development opportunity for new graduate nurses. This role is designed to provide a supportive environment for recent nursing graduates to transition into practice, develop clinical skills, and advance their careers.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, documenting the administration of care in the patient medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitoring patient response and notifying providers as needed.
- Provide exceptional patient care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating patient needs.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, completed before start date.
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State, with ability to start orientation and training prior to passing the NCLEX.
- No previous experience required.
