Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Expert Lead to join our team at Applied Research Associates (ARA). As a Cybersecurity Expert Lead, you will be responsible for providing technical and subject matter expertise in cybersecurity development, management, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and subject matter expertise in cybersecurity development, management, and implementation.
  • Manage and oversee cybersecurity projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity solutions, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced staff on cybersecurity best practices and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, and recommend updates to our cybersecurity strategies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • 20-23 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Attendance at Cyberspace Operations Operator Course is required.
  • Must have experience related to Cyber Security Engineering.
  • Must have experience in Linux, Windows, and Android Operating Systems.
  • Must have programming experience in C and Python.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline with 12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Cyberspace Operations experience/fusion centers experience desirable.
  • Python, Linux, Ubuntu, and Penetration Testing experience.
  • COMPTIA A+
  • Kubernetes experience is a plus.
  • Networking: TCP/IP, Switching, Routing, Firewall, VPN.
