Job Summary

Red Hat's Global Engineering team is seeking an experienced quality engineer to join our InstructLab team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of test strategies and frameworks, design and implement automated tests, and maintain and enhance test frameworks.

This role requires a highly collaborative individual with a passion for working on complex projects in an open organization. You will engage in upstream open source communities, communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, and partner collaboratively in our Boston, MA office.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Execute manual and automated tests for InstructLab and deliver clear status updates in a timely manner.
  • Explore, identify, and document unwanted behavior, output, and bias in InstructLab models.
  • Monitor and participate in upstream AI/ML communities, evaluating new AI/ML-related technologies and considering potential integrations and collaborations upstream.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks, scripts, and performance benchmarking tools with Python for testing and implementation.
  • Contribute to the development of open-source projects that comprise Red Hat's AI family of products.
Required Skills
  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Quality Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar roles.
  • Extensive experience scripting and creating automation in Python and Bash.
  • Experience with AI and Machine Learning platforms, tools, and frameworks.
  • Experience creating automation for GitHub, using GitHub Actions or related continuous integration tools.
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new tools and technologies.
