About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital, part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer therapy modalities as ordered by physician, performing all aspects of mechanical ventilators and arterial puncture and blood gas analysis.
  • Respond to code blue situations for assigned areas.
  • Assist in transport of ventilator and critically ill patients.
  • Verify physician orders prior to therapy treatment.
  • Provide accurate report to oncoming staff at shift end.
  • Enter all patient contacts into appropriate system.
  • Perform equipment rounds.

Requirements

  • Certified Respiratory Therapist
  • Respiratory Therapy Degree - AAS or BS.
  • One-year critical care experience.
  • Previous experience with mechanical ventilation, blood gas analysis, and oximetry.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
