Responsibilities:

  • Teach nursing courses on campus and virtually, including lectures, discussions, and clinical experiences.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of our students.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of nursing programs.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive nursing education.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in nursing education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair or dean.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience as a registered nurse.
  • Current unencumbered RN license to practice nursing in the state of Texas.
  • Experience in teaching nursing courses, either online or in-person.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
  • Experience in online course development and delivery.
  • Experience in clinical education and simulation.
