We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team in the Vascular department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams to aid in patient diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for ultrasound exams, positioning them according to departmental procedures and explaining the process in a clear and concise manner.
- Obtain relevant imaging and diagnostic reports, consulting with referring physicians to determine the most appropriate ultrasound exam.
- Set up equipment to administer exams efficiently, using technical judgment to ensure accurate results.
- Recognize and report any changes in patient condition or motor abnormalities, following established procedures.
- Document image details and labels studies, maintaining accurate records and logs.
- Perform minor repairs and calibration checks on ultrasound equipment, troubleshooting mechanical issues as needed.
- Vocational or technical school diploma required.
- Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification, with specialized certifications in Vascular (ARMDS).
- 1-3 years of technical experience, with BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
