Job Description

At Traffix Devices, we are seeking a skilled Robotics Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for the set-up and maintenance of all electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on equipment used in the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation of process control and robotic equipment.
  • Update modifications, preventative maintenance, and periodic performance checks.
  • Maintain service records of the control devices and automated equipment, repairing when needed.
  • Interact with all levels on the operational team.

Requirements:

  • Technical skills: The ability to use advanced technical skills to install, repair, and maintain all plant equipment with an emphasis on electrical systems and robotics.
  • Action-oriented: The ability to take initiative, set priorities, delegate tasks, and drive results, while providing guidance, support, and feedback to team members.
  • Problem-solving skills: The ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve complex electrical issues.
  • Attention to detail: The ability to identify and differentiate numerous parts, pieces, components, and wires and understand their functions and interactions.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • An associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least three years of experience as a technician and two years of experience working with robotics technology.
  • Advanced knowledge working with automated PLC-based equipment and processes, interpreting and building new programs.

  • Physical dexterity: The employee must be able to bend, twist, crawl, and reach while handling equipment and hand tools.
  • Lifting: The employee must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, and items weighing up to 80 lbs occasionally, with the help of other employees.
  • Vision: The vision requirements for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Endurance: The employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
