Heavy Equipment Shop Technician Job Description

Pape' Machinery, Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Shop Technician to join their team in Tangent, OR.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Shop Technician to work on construction and forestry equipment in the shop, ensuring accurate and timely repairs to support our customers and maximize their uptime.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair all makes and models of new and used heavy equipment
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, using a team-oriented approach to complete tasks efficiently
  • Complete technical diagnostic and repair training programs to stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
Requirements:
  • 5 or more years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • Ability to provide own tools
