Senior Accounting Specialist

This role is structured to prepare you for advancement to a District Controller position within our organization. To understand our company culture, please explore our website.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee monthly financial closing activities by preparing financial statements for assigned operational sites.
- Conduct reconciliation of all general ledger accounts.
- Analyze significant financial variances to budget and forecast on a monthly basis.
- Complete a three-month financial forecast each month.
- Perform rate analysis and review.
- Communicate financial information effectively to business partners.
- Manage the flow of accounting data to and from remote locations.
- Assist with quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and reviews.
- Participate in the annual financial budgeting process.
- Provide training to non-financial staff on internal control compliance, accounting procedures, and financial statement reviews.
- Engage in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience is preferred.
- Experience in public accounting is advantageous.
- CPA or other professional certifications are highly desirable.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel and related accounting systems is essential.
