Job Title: Veterinary Care Assistant

Location: Baytree Animal Hospital

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team at American Veterinary Group.

The ideal candidate will have prior customer service experience, be able to lift 40 lbs, and possess basic knowledge of veterinary medical terminology. A self-starter with excellent work ethic and communication skills is essential for this role.

About the Role:

The Veterinary Care Assistant will assist Veterinarians in providing outstanding patient care and client service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include helping during initial examinations by restraining animals when necessary, stocking examination and surgery rooms with supplies, and ensuring equipment is in working order.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Veterinarians in the care of animals
  • Communicate with clients (pet owners) and update patient files
  • Stock examination and surgery rooms with supplies
  • Sterilize tools and maintain equipment
Requirements:
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Basic knowledge of veterinary medical terminology
