Job Title: Program Associate, Ohio

At Facing History, we are seeking an experienced educator to join our team as a Program Associate in Ohio. This role will be responsible for delivering professional learning in Ohio, with a focus on Cleveland.

The Program Associate will facilitate workshops and seminars for educators and school leaders, recruit new schools and districts to implement our program, and cultivate relationships with educators and school leaders. This role will also collaborate with our program staff to plan professional learning opportunities in Ohio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating professional learning for educators and school leaders
  • Recruiting new schools and districts to implement our program
  • Cultivating relationships with educators and school leaders
  • Collaborating with program staff to plan professional learning opportunities

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in education, experience in leading professional development, and a passion for social-emotional learning, equity, and civic education. Requirements:

  • BA/BS; MA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of secondary classroom teaching experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading professional development and/or adult coaching in educational settings
  • Familiarity with social-emotional learning, school culture, and civic education
  • Experience with culturally responsive teaching, equity, and justice initiatives
  • Knowledge of a humanities-based content area
  • Experience with designing and facilitating technology-enabled in-person, hybrid, and online professional learning experiences
