Summary:
As a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse, you will provide care to critically ill children in accordance with physicians' treatment plans. Your primary goal is to ensure the comfort and well-being of your patients.
You will assess patients' conditions, develop a nursing plan of care, administer prescribed medications, provide treatments, observe patients' progress, and record pertinent observations. You will also report any reactions to medications and treatments to the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians with procedures and examinations
- Prepare instruments and equipment for physicians' use
- Develop and implement a nursing plan of care for each patient
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' progress and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Nursing or higher
- Minimum of two years of recent acute care hospital experience in the past three years
- Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Florida
- Basic Life Support and PALS certifications
