Position SummaryRMC is seeking a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to enhance our capabilities in threat response and mitigation.
The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategies to address incoming threat intelligence.
The individual will evaluate various threat intelligence sources and coordinate the deployment of countermeasures aimed at minimizing the impact of identified threats and vulnerabilities, thereby reducing risk to the network.
The selected candidate will be responsible for briefing senior management on actions taken to address reported threats.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will engage in a range of activities, including but not limited to:
1. Formulating and overseeing the execution of enterprise-level mitigation strategies in response to intelligence reports, law enforcement alerts, and open-source vulnerability assessments.
2. Managing, prioritizing, and resolving all reported enterprise misconfigurations by directing and supervising necessary actions in accordance with customer policies and industry best practices.
3. Analyzing both open-source and internal intelligence reports to extract pertinent and actionable insights that enhance threat prevention, detection, and response capabilities.
4. Associating intelligence data with relevant network endpoints, users, or data objects.
5. Providing threat assessments as required, utilizing appropriate organizational templates.
6. Identifying trends and indicators related to threats.
7. Reviewing and recommending updates to network/system configurations in response to evolving threat landscapes.
8. Developing and maintaining strategies that leverage existing infrastructure to bolster network defenses against potential attack scenarios.
9. Updating tactics, techniques, procedures, training, and educational documentation.
10. Offering support necessary to uphold the customer's Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) accreditation in accordance with established standards.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree or a combination of formal military/DoD intelligence training along with 10 years of relevant experience, or 14 years of military/DoD training in related intelligence fields.
The selected candidate must hold a current valid IAT Level III certification and maintain compliance with IAT Level III certification requirements.
Certification Requirements
This position mandates compliance with DoD IAT Level III standards.
An active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required for this role. The selected applicant may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
