Scalo Solar Solutions is on the lookout for an Electrical Project Manager to oversee the management, installation, and upkeep of solar energy systems across a variety of commercial and residential projects. This position requires a robust electrical background and specialized knowledge in solar technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all facets of solar project installation and maintenance, including:
  • Reviewing project documentation and schematics.
  • Collaborating with engineers to update designs for permits and final drawings.
  • Identifying, sourcing, and organizing all project necessities, including permits, materials, and labor for successful installation.
  • Facilitating coordination among all stakeholders, including clients, engineers, architects, utility providers, regulatory authorities, inspectors, subcontractors, and the home office.
  • Developing and adjusting a project timeline (GANTT) as needed to meet project demands while maintaining comprehensive project records.
  • Monitoring project finances and regularly assessing production metrics.
  • Participating in weekly operations meetings with the Solar Vice President and General Manager.
  • Providing pertinent project updates to clients and the company through weekly meetings and reports.
  • Addressing maintenance inquiries for existing systems and allocating resources to resolve issues promptly.
  • Regularly assessing company-owned systems for performance and generating monthly production reports for billing.
  • Attending monthly billing discussions.
  • Upholding and enforcing company standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical or solar-specific construction, with a strong focus on electrical systems and commercial projects.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience, demonstrating the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and client communications.
  • NABCEP PV Installation Professional Certification is preferred; candidates should be willing to pursue the necessary training and certification.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC) and a commitment to ongoing education regarding NEC updates.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and architectural designs.
  • Proven organizational skills, analytical thinking, and experience in performance enhancement.
  • Self-motivated to complete projects independently while striving for personal and company-wide performance improvements.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites, including local and occasionally remote locations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with experience in client and field team interactions.
  • Compliance with criminal background checks and drug screenings is required.

Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 annually.
