Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus. Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Monitor and document patient condition, communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
- Evaluate and update patient care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Coordinate patient care with other disciplines, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to approved nursing protocols.
- Carry out physician and nursing orders, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs, collaborating with the healthcare team.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, addressing cultural and special concerns.
- Validate and document patient understanding of teaching, ensuring effective communication.
- Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing education and clinical study.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, with a BSN preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire.
- Additional certifications may be required, depending on the specific unit or department.
- Minimum one year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting, with consideration given to licensed military RN experience.
