Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Service Team Member to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a Service Team Member, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, ensuring a well-merchandised and in-stock store, and supporting the overall success of our retail operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly and attentive customer service, helping customers find products and solutions to meet their needs.
  • Ensure a fast and efficient checkout experience, executing cash handling to standards and engaging customers on our Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
  • Assist with Omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS), and participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Responsible for completing merchandise recovery and maintenance, including the merchandise return/go back process and general store recovery to ensure a well-merchandised and in-stock store.
  • Support shrink and safety programs, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, remaining positive and respectful even in difficult situations, and promote commitment to the organization's vision and values.
  • Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
Requirements
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods, move throughout the store, and perform regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Work Environment

Public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas, some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and some outdoor work if assigned to retrieve shopping carts or unload trucks. Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
