Position Overview

As an Inventory Control Specialist at QLM, Skilled Staffing Solutions, you will be integral to the smooth functioning of our manufacturing operations. Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously monitor the usage of tools and equipment, ensuring optimal inventory levels and contributing to the overall organization of our tool crib.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in inventory management or a related discipline is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a comparable position, ideally within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision in counting and documenting inventory.
  • Competence in utilizing inventory management software alongside Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a capacity to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Capability to prioritize responsibilities and operate efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Key Duties:

  • Employ cycle counting methodologies to accurately monitor the usage of tools and equipment in the tool crib.
  • Perform regular inventory audits to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to restock inventory as necessary, maintaining sufficient stock levels.
  • Ensure organized and efficient storage of tools and equipment within the tool crib.
  • Prepare reports and analyze data to identify trends in tool usage, recommending enhancements to inventory management practices.
  • Support the implementation and adherence to best practices for tool crib operations.
