Key Responsibilities:

A Day in the Life of a Housekeeper:

As a Housekeeper at Liberty Military Housing, you will be responsible for the routine cleaning of offices, amenities, and surrounding areas within a multi-family residential community. You will utilize tools, machinery, and equipment to perform tasks efficiently. Your role will require effective communication skills, a commitment to quality work performed safely, and a dedication to our mission of delivering exemplary service in line with Liberty Military Housing's customer satisfaction standards.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting routine cleaning of amenities, building exteriors, district offices, recreational areas, vacant homes, restrooms, and other community spaces.
  • Daily removal of trash from grounds, office areas, homes, and the community perimeter.
  • Monitoring and cleaning restrooms and kitchen areas, restocking supplies as necessary.
  • Maintaining floors through sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and polishing as required.
  • Ensuring the appearance of rooms and buildings by dusting furniture, washing walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, mirrors, door panels, and sills.
  • Assisting in preparing make-ready units by performing cleaning duties such as vacuuming and cleaning all windows, tiles, countertops, appliances, and other fixtures.
  • Maintaining the supply room's appearance and monitoring inventory of essential supplies.
  • Providing assistance to Service Technicians when needed.
  • Performing additional routine cleaning and maintenance tasks on the property as requested or directed.
  • Reporting maintenance concerns for repairs in homes, community areas, and common spaces to the supervisor.
  • Demonstrating safe and appropriate use of standard tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Complying with all OSHA safety regulations and local laws regarding health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Understanding and adhering to safe work practices across all trades.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Entry-level to 6 months of general housekeeping or maintenance experience.
  • Basic understanding of grounds maintenance or general cleaning practices.
  • Ability to utilize tools, cleaning equipment, and supplies relevant to job requirements.
  • Effective communication and interaction skills with co-workers, managers, vendors, and residents.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in operating a PC or mobile device.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel to other regional locations for work-related activities.
  • Capability to independently lift and carry supplies or equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and emergencies as required.
  • Participation in department or regional meetings, community events, and other work-related activities.
