Job Summary

The Director of Medical Surgical Renal Transplant Unit is responsible for the overall management and direction of the 5 North Renal Medical Surgical Unit at Del Sol Medical Center. This includes ensuring the highest level of patient care, staff satisfaction, and physician satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
  • Develop and manage budgets and resources to achieve departmental goals
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to meet departmental needs
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to improve patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state
  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • ANCC Orthopedic Nurse Certifications within three years of hire date
  • PALS within one year of hire date
  • ACLS within six months of hire date
  • Renal experience and leadership experience in an acute care setting
