Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Signal Processing Manager to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Advanced Weapons Business Unit, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers focused on algorithm development, modeling and simulation, systems engineering, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of up to 15 engineers in the development of advanced signal processing systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership, peer managers, and program management to ensure programs are adequately staffed and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Coach and develop staff to encourage ongoing professional growth and provide guidance on operating procedures and processes.
  • Champion and participate in engineering process improvement initiatives and support the adoption of Model Based Engineering practices.
  • Develop and administer budgets and standards of performance, and participate in peer reviews and major design reviews.
  • Support proposal development and substantiation of related contract activities, and identify capital, facility, and other resource requirements to secure discretionary funding.
Requirements
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent with 5+ years of experience; or MS + 3 years experience.
  • Prior experience in leading departments, teams, or projects focused on algorithm development, modeling and simulation, or related data-sciences.
  • Experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems, RADAR Systems, or other RF-centric systems and methods.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a track record of developing innovative solutions, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A current Secret security clearance adjudicated within the past 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • Experience in program technical leadership or integrated product team leadership (IPTL).
  • Experience with Multi-disciplinary engineering, and demonstrated history of technical progression leading to engineering leadership position.
  • Experience in Missile Development and/or Airborne Systems, and experience in transition from Technology Development to EMD, EMD to Limited Rate Production and product life-cycle engineering.
