About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Organ Donation Coordinator to join our team at Sierra Donor Services. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals waiting for organ transplants.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in critical care, preferably as a registered nurse (RN), and be able to work independently with autonomy. They will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of organ donation, including evaluating patient suitability, facilitating organ placement and allocation, and providing support to donor families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and consulting with medical staff.
  • Coordinate organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.
  • Coordinate and assist in the surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management.
  • Provide support to donor families and conduct medical/social history interviews.
  • Partner with hospital leadership to improve donation metrics, protocols, and policy.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Up to 176 hours of PTO and 72 hours of sick time in the first year.
