  • In-depth knowledge of electrical power systems and photovoltaic design, including plant layout and performance modeling, modules, inverters, racking, and DC/AC collection systems
  • Expertise in optimizing solar projects for performance, cost efficiency, and constructability
  • Willingness to travel to project or client sites as necessary, approximately 5-10%

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to one of the rapidly expanding private firms in the nation
  • Report directly to the Director of Commercial Construction
  • Oversee large-scale distributed generation solar PV projects
  • Assume significant duties and responsibilities as the Solar Engineering Manager
  • Seek an innovative and driven individual to manage responsibilities throughout the construction phase
  • Lead a team of engineers providing project support, engineering design, and oversight
  • Collaborate with relevant electric utilities to prepare and manage interconnection documentation; offer technical support and oversee the interconnection process
  • Evaluate technical drawings and specifications of PV systems to ensure compliance with standards and client requirements
  • Engage with vendors to obtain and assess bids for major equipment, including PV system racking, transformers, and MV switchgear
  • Review and annotate essential deliverables such as comprehensive system designs, single line diagrams, equipment specifications, engineering validation, 3-D renderings, interconnection policies, electric tariff analysis, and energy production estimates
  • Conduct detailed energy production modeling calculations, string sizing, PV array to inverter matching, voltage drop assessments, as well as orientation and inter-row spacing analysis
