Job Responsibilities- Provide engaging, personal service to members and truly care about finding real solutions to their financial needs.
- Perform a variety of sales, service and support activities for members and potential members.
- Establish and build relationships with members, providing advice and financial expertise.
- Actively seek out cross-sell opportunities and promote products and services based on member needs.
- Maintain accurate cash counts in accordance with the Credit Union's balancing standards.
- Count, verify and package cash and coin.
- Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly.
- Process routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, cash advances, check cashing, money orders, placing holds on drafts, scanning checks, and address changes.
- Perform activities related to processing the night deposit, mail items, returned mail, stop payments, safe deposit boxes, certificate of deposit requests, redemption of savings bonds, wire transfers, account maintenance and assist in ATM and CDM replenishment and vault duties.
- Exercise awareness in to suspicious activity or fraudulent behavior as it relates to cash transactions and overall transaction activity.
- Complete CTR and MITR log for cash transactions.
- Report any suspicious activity to Risk Management.
- Serve members in opening new accounts, updating current accounts and closing accounts.
- Financial institution experience in member service, cash handling, new accounts or in a similar service position.
- Previous cash-handling preferred.
- Must be able to obtain Credit Insurance License.
- Ability to operate a computer, telephone and other office equipment.
- Competitive team player, with a positive attitude willing to learn and adapt to change.
- Ability to communicate, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced member service environment.
