As a Pediatric Surgeon, you will be part of the Department of Surgery at The University of North Carolina. The Division of Pediatric Surgery is one of nine clinical divisions within the department, with four faculty members providing a broad array of clinical services to deliver the highest quality care for injured and critically ill pediatric patients.

We are seeking qualified applicants who have demonstrated excellence in all three traditional academic missions: clinical practice, education, and research. You will be expected to regularly participate in the education of medical students and residents and contribute to outreach to our rural referring hospitals.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality clinical care to UNC patients and participate in research initiatives, including but not limited to clinical outcomes, health services, basic science, translational, ethics, education, or global surgery initiatives.

This position may be recruited as an open rank appointment with an FTE between 0.5 and 1.0. The appointment may also be offered as a fixed-term track or tenure/tenure-track appointment.

To be eligible, prospective candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery with Pediatric certification and have a current North Carolina Medical License or be eligible for application.
